Building a Culture of Ownership in Healthcare: The Invisible Architecture of Core Values, Attitude, and Self-Empowerment & Navigating the Sick and Safe Policy in the Hospital Setting

Target Audience: Nursing professionals

 

Overview: There are two presentations in one session! Nurse Leaders will understand the importance of ownership and building infrastructure of support for their teams towards resilience and reinforcing core values. Nurse leaders will also engage in learning about managing the sick and safe policy that is increasingly poses challenges for sustaining and managing resources during high volumes and acuity.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe “the healthcare crisis within” of incivility, bullying, and toxic emotional negativity in the workplace and the way it contributes to stress, burnout and compassion fatigue.
  • Describer the three essential elements needed to move from a culture of accountability to a culture of ownership.
  • Identify the Twelve Core Action Values.
  • Review the impact of the legislative environment of healthcare, specifically the sick and safe policy impact on the workforce
