MONL Graduate Nurse Residency Program

Posted over 1 year ago by Nursing Network Admin

The Annual UHC/AACC Nurse Residency Conference was held this year in Bonita Springs, Florida. Nurse residents from across the country were invited to submit abstracts of their Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects. This year, only 40 of more than 250 abstracts were selected to present at the conference. One of our Maryland residents, Gordon Han RN,BSN,CCRN from Johns Hopkins Hospital, was selected as the top project of the year. Nurse coordinators and facilitators at most of our Maryland Nurse Residency Collaborative (MNRC) hospitals also attended this free conference and learned the latest strategies in implementing the nurse residency program and began to learn how to analyze the data they receive from the unique University Health Consortium (UHC) database.

Gordon Han RN,BSN,CCRN, one of our Nurse Residency Graduates from Johns Hopkins Hospital, won the Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Poster Contest at the Annual UHC Nurse Residency Conference. Seen in the photo are: Deb Baker, Interim CNO from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Gordon Han (the winner!), Laura Hendricks- Jackson, Coordinator of the Nurse Residency Program at JHH, and Mary Ann Greene, Coordinator of the MNRC. Gordon did his project with Elizabeth Zink, MS, RN, who was not at the conference.
